Little Sugar Naturals is located in Front Royal, Virginia.  We are a small company with only six hands at the moment. . .two of which are only four years old. . .not quite old enough to use the mixer yet. 

It all started with a vial of lavender.  About four years ago I was introduced to the wonderful world of essential oils.  At the time our "Little Sugar", Mia-Elizabeth was two years old.  I began learning all I could about essential oils and started using them therapeutically with both my Mia and my hubby, too! 

Little Sugar Naturals began with a desire to provide our daughter with the purest natural products for her beautiful skin.  Since I began using lavender on her feet each night, I didn't feel comfortable loading her skin with lotions that trapped toxins in rather than letting them out!

I found many wonderful products in our local health food store and online!  The variety of natural products is growing which makes it so much easier for people with an interest in greener and healthier living to find quality products! 

After trying an abundance of lotions and potions I became quite interested in the process and ingredients of lotion making!  So more research began. . .this time it was research on the various properties of oils, butters, and additives!  The first product I ever made was a Lavender Mango Butter. . .for our Mia-Elizabeth!  It felt so amazing to have created this for our Little Sugar!

Ever since then my knowledge and interest continues to grow and expand.  I don't think I'll ever know all I need to know to make the best butters, soaps, and lotions around, and I'll never claim to have the best, however, what I do have is a strong desire to continue learning as much as I can about this industry and strive to create a quality product you can feel proud to use on your body and your child's body as well!

Quality Products

Our body butters are OIL based, which means they do not require a preservative system.  We use Vitamin e and Rosemary Oleoresin as powerful antioxidants to keep your butter safe from rancidity.  Please be sure to keep moisture out of the jar!  Water is a host for mold and bacteria!

Because the palms of our hands hold moisture naturally, the butters will take longer to soak in. . .you may want to blot your palms when using the butters during the day.  However, I like to load 'em up at night for an unbelievable blast of moisture that will leave your hands incredibly soft in the morning. 

Can you imagine the soft tootsies you'd have after using the butters on your feet then putting on socks?  WOW!

Lotions

Oh, for the love of lotions!  I'll be honest, my love and affection for the beauty of our body butters used to take precedence over all the other products I made. . .now, however, there's a new love in my life!  Ahhhhhh, body lotion!  It's just about as much fun to make as the body butter and feels absolutely amazing on the skin!  Since lotions are water based I have to use a preservative, which was why it has taken me two years to begin creating lotions!  I researched and researched safe, effective, and as natural as possible preservatives and have found an ECOCERT certified natural preservative that uses GLUCONOLACTONE and SODUIM BENZOATE.  This is a safe and natural preservative that has been approved for use in cosmetics.

Our lotions are super soft and leave your skin with a sweet moisture that lasts long into your day!  They are YUMMY! 

Soaps and Such

We also offer wonderful soaps, both bar and liquid!  These formulations are created with beautiful organic ingredients that we are so very proud to offer you!  Both the bar and liquid soaps are a pre-made formulation that we "tweak" just a bit to suit our unique interests in scent and coloring!  The liquid soap is CERTIFIED ORGANIC!

We are experimenting with cold process soap making and have several dozen bars in the curing room waiting to be unveiled this fall!

We also create custom all natural perfumes and body oils!
