Can you believe it's almost 2011? What an amazing year we've had here at Little Sugar Naturals, and we have YOU to thank! Throughout the course of the year we've introduced quite a few new products, improved the existing product line, unveiled our new logo, and yes. . .failed a lot, too.
I must take a moment to acknowledge and give appreciation to our failures, the many many many batches of lotions, oils, and soaps that have made it only as far as the trash can. Oh, how it pains me to throw a batch away, it's frustrating, infuriating, disheartening, and heartbreaking! However, I'm very thankful for those failures because without them I wouldn't learn how to make the products better. . .and that's my ultimate goal: Create a product that is unsurpassed in quality and price! So, it's with great appreciation that I say "thank you" to my failures. . .they continue to keep me on the path of formulating and creating a product you can rely and depend on!
This year marked the introduction of a new product line: LOTIONS! This has been a fun and adventurous undertaking and I'm continuing to improve them with every batch! When I began making body butters I immediately thought a lotion line would be in the future. . .however, it took some extensive research and time to find a natural preservative system that is dependable and adheres to the philosophy of the company! GEOGARD ULTRA is an ECOCERT certified preservative that can be found in all of our water based products! The lotions offer wonderful emolliency and moisture! LSN Tea Infused Body Creams is a thicker and more emollient cream than the lotion if you need something for these drying cool months! This is a luscious cream that mirrors the lotion in that they share many of the same ingredients, however the creams are 65% water to 35% oil and the lotions are 75% water to 25% oil. Thus, the creams are able to combat very dry skin and still feel amazing and soak in quickly. Currently we are offering the creams in our Signature Winter Scents only, but will be adding some more soon!
Don't forget about your feet during these cold months! The original Body Butter is still around! It's better than ever, so light and fluffy, yet the heartiest of all the products we offer! If you have really dry skin, the butter is the way to go! There is no water in this formulation, just solid oils and butter to give dry skin the boot, so to speak! Keep some on your bedside table to rub on at night and feel the difference!
In addition to our new lotions and creams we have a new soap we're super excited about as well! It's Good Old Fashioned soap made in my crock pot! Isn't that cool? It's called the hot process method and is so fun to make and watch the process unfold! The simple ingredients were selected to create a wonderful lather and amazing moisture! Coconut oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, sugar, and various exfoliating additives (tea, coffee, and oats) are combined with Sodium Hydroxide (lye) to make this amazing soap! We are currently adding this product to the website, so be patient, it will be there soon! At the moment we offer this soap in three scents:

Cherry Almond
